2017 Kona Big Kahuna 27.5 Mountain Bike

Join the plus sized MTB evolution. The Kona Big Kahuna is a hardtail mountain bike that combines a playful XC geometry with the extra grip of wide 2.8” 27.5+ tyres.

The Kona Race Light 6061 aluminium frame is built with butted tubes which shave off the grams. The relaxed angles offer a stable and playful yet efficient ride. To make room for the wider tyres the frame and fork both feature wider BOOST hub spacing. Up front the RockShox Recon Silver fork gives you 100mm of plush suspension travel to tame the trail.

The Plus sized Schwalbe Nobby Nick tyres make as much contact with the dirt as possible for improves grip while also offering more ‘float’ for a smoother, more comfortable ride. The Shimano Deore 2×10 speed drivetrain is combined with a Race Face Aeffect chainset for reliable shifting over a wide gear range. The Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes give you confident all-weather stopping power.
